General Health

Our practice gives targeted health checks in line with the RACGP guidelines. We encourage our patients to have regular health reviews as required with regard to their age and risk factors.

Regular checks include:

• Weight and Body Mass Index (BMI) checks
• Blood pressure
• Update of medical history
• Blood tests as required

Health Assessments

Over 75 years

We recommend a complete health check for everyone in this age group who have any specific risk factors for diabetes and chronic disease. Risk factors of note are: snoring, overweight, high blood pressure or a family history of chronic illness.

Over 45-49 years

We recommend an annual health check for everyone over 45 – 49 years. With a comprehensive review of all your health needs including medication review and full physical and mental health check. We can help identify any issues and institute early treatment or preventative strategies.

Care Plans and Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Referrals:

If you have multiple health issues, we recommend you have a care plan completed that allows us to streamline your care and coordinate with all your health providers. You may also be eligible for Medicare rebate on allied health services, such as podiatry or physiotherapy. Please ask us if you qualify.

Mental Health Care Plans

If you suffer from a mental health issue including anxiety and depression, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate on psychology services. If you feel you would benefit from mental health support, please ask for an appointment to review this.

Women’s Health

We can assist with many aspects of women’s health including:



• Pap smears – recommended every 5 years unless recalled, we also provide Thin prep testing.
• Breast checks and referral for mammograms if necessary.
• Contraception Advice.
• Sexual Transmitted Disease advice and testing.
• Pre-conception education and check up.
• Pregnancy support.
• Post pregnancy health review and support.

Men’s Health

We encourage health checks on men. We provide:

• Full and detailed medical history taking
• comprehensive physical exam
• Blood testing if required
• Preventative health planning
• Cardiovascular risk assessment
• ECG if required
• Diabetes risk assessment
• Review of vaccination status
• Recalls for review as needed



We encourage all our male patients to have regular checks to help initiate preventative strategies.

Children’s Health

We are a child friendly practice. 

Sick children will always be given priority for a same day appointment. 

We encourage vaccinations as per the standardised vaccine protocol.
